Just opened and I think it’s great - even the cannon and tank mode being “only” 90% perfect doesn’t much bug me with the rest being a solid 100%!

Decided to put Kingdom Slammer into vehicle mode for the first time in probably over a year. I’m reminded how, as fun a toy concept as they may be, weaponizers and the other modular paradores annoy me. This is as far as I could get without looking it up.

Window fixed, micro trailer square hole edges filed, and some mods to help (but sadly not fix) the wrist tab problem, and I think we’re set. Pretty good stompy lookin’ robot!

Saw a real Toys R Us in a mall today. Not just a corner of Macy’s or whatever. Full store. BUT!
Eerily clean and stocked. No prices on anything! More Funko than is reasonable.

7-year-old discovered the old Goofy cartoons. The old old ones. I hadn't seen any since I was his age, but remembered liking the skiing one so I suggested it.
I'm not sure I've ever heard any of my kids have so many genuine rolling belly laughs! This guy is LOSING IT and it's GREAT!

Lurie Children’s Hospital continuing to be excellent. No trip to a children’s hospital is ever “awesome,” but as I’ve said a million times about Lurie: it’s the best place you never want to go. Even in these dark times, they are still going out of their way to welcome and support everyone.

Season 1 was so fresh and showed the potential. Director kind of tells on himself here for squandering opportunity - arguably he had a better launchpad than ever for a Flash multiverse film due to the interest and popularity of the show. I always loved this take.

Just finished @scalzi.com "Kaiju Preservation Society" and highly recommend it. It a 300 page fun romp in godzilla world. Remember how Godzilla vs Kong was a fun 2 hours of cinema? This is that, in book form.
This maybe took the place of Redshirts as the book I recommend to intro Scalzi to others.
