Light is a smart kid who had never had his intelligence challenged. Meanwhile, L figured out that Light was Kira *real* early on, despite his hypothesis defying the laws of nature and logic without full knowledge of the Death Note.

That and also stop acting like you can't handle the supposed immaturity of a 17yo or 19yo or whatever adolescent. I have met plenty of teens and peers in their early-mid 20s with far more grace, respect, and critical ability than a lot of people older than me. They really need more respect, tbh.

My point is that, as much as I agree that more must be done for child safety, banning them from otherwise safe places is not necessarily doing anything other than being an arsehole. It's like banning a child from a park in an attempt to protect them from biting dogs. We're punishing the wrong group.
