What I don't understand is why they can take so much from my paycheck yet refuse to refund that same amount ("tax withheld") during tax season??? Where is my paycheck going, genuinely?

'On Tyranny' by Timothy Snyder was such a great recommendation from one of my college professors and a great read! I could finish it in one day, but digesting the comparison between what led to the Holocaust and what's happening in today's "America" is terrifying. I can't just sit and watch

yall better have library cards. Some (most!!) public library systems have seed libraries and libraries of things where you can borrow things you may not need to own.
Also libraries are revolutionary and librarians have always been on the front lines
