I just get the coffee grinds and then make it at home in my coffee machine. Only costs a few pennies that way.

CURRENT
load inventory > as items load that avatar has on they appear
SUGGESTED
check if avatar is wearing saved outfit > if yes get list of objects in saved outfit > load inv starting with objects in list
avatars should 'appear' almost instantly I would think

Sandboxes for sure, make a few friends, ask some questions and have fun. (of course I'm partial to the Ivory Tower Library of Primitives, but I have heard that other sandboxes exist as well) So sandboxes and Freebie Galaxy is a must, at least it was for me when I started.
