Fair, but to continue the example, if those colored trees were the example in the scene until the director or the like picked a version they liked, then the artist re-did it, is that still a problem? Don't get me wrong, not happy (I keep saying it, as tone is hard to judge in text) but without more+

There are companies that are stealing everything they can, firing folk and trying to exploite us, this doesn't come off as that to me, and I'd say it was more the indi awards not doing their due dillagence (steam to), but yeah. Personally I don't try and vilify every new tech, though it's always a+

I can see both sides of it, without being there we don't know what form that concept art use took. If it was a full scene then yeah, fuck them. But if it was just like coloring trees differently way faster than you could normally to see how they looked, I don't see that any different than phososhop+

Why not? They used it for placeholder assets. Not happy there, but its not like they were pulling a COD or ARC and just hoping folk wouldn't notice. They said that 6 months back, they used it for concept/placeholder. No one really cared back then, but now they won its evil. Doesn't change the story

Lol, yeah, because no company cares about a 4th quarter surge in sales a game of the year earns.
Don't even get me going on that Larian article, hoping they sue Shrier over that one, I read the transcript, he outright made up half that article. The phone game distortions of that are crazy.

I will say, vibes is one thing I go for as well. If employees are happy, passionate and productive, probably good.
But I've seen bad actors there are well (literally lol), looking at you Gearbox. Will never forgive them from Aliens: Colonial Marines.

Certainly one of the outliers due to Nexon. However (as far as I know) Expedition didn't have such a backer.
Personally, I tend to look at who a studio is beholden to as a sign. In your example I beleive they were already developing it and really didn't change the product for their 'overlords'
