It's nice to know that kids still love Croc. But seriously, that's so sweet.

I intend to keep playing until I finish it. I don't know if I'll end up writing a full review of it, but I just wanted to take some time to talk about this game; cuz lord knows, nobody else is. For real though, I strongly recommend making this the next game you play after Silksong. It's really good!

After more than a decade of development, Adventure of Samsara finally releases on September 4th, 2025...the same day as Hollow Knight: Silksong. Poor game never stood a chance.

Though it's not just a simple title change, the game now incorporates elements from the Atari 2600 game, including the dragons. Sadly, they don't look like ducks anymore.

That would all change in 2025 as Tower of Samsara: Hidden Treasures would now be published by Atari and renamed Adventure of Samsara, now officially a part of the Atari Adventure series.

Fast forward to 2020, Martelo Nero Team, now known as Ilex Games, with funding from the Sao Paolo government's Program of Cultural Action (ProAC: Programa de Ação Cultural) would premiere a new trailer for Tower of Samsara: Hidden Treasures along with a playable demo.

In 2016, Martelo Nero, a small team of three guys in their late 20s went to Kickstarter to try and get Tower of Samsara funded. Sadly, the game failed to reach its funding goal, but the team didn't give up. They would continue to work on the game part-time while looking for ways to secure funding

Created by the Brazilian based Ilex Games, Adventure of Samsara serves as reimagining of the classic Atari 2600 game Adventure. You know, the one with the duck dragons. But before it became what it is now, development started back as early as 2015 under its original title, Tower of Samsara

After many years of development, Silksong finally released on September 4th and everybody is loving it so far. But today, I want to talk about another metroidvania released on the same day with an equally long development history that I think y'all shouldn't sleep on. Adventure of Samsara (Thread)

I will always have a soft spot for this show. This was my first exposure to the Sonic the Hedgehog series and to say I was obsessed would be an understatement! I couldn’t tell you how many times I rewatched my video tape that had the episodes Grounder the Genius & Blank-Headed Eagle on it.

Happy Silksong Day, y’all!
