Sure the Gregorian Calendar is Christian in origin and 2026 is a number based on the estimated birth of Jesus, but it's use as a calendar has transcended this religious belief to become the default secular calendar of most of the world

The Gregorian Calendar is in use as the secular calendar in much of the world, and celebrating going from one year to the next is something that isn't dependent on religious belief or cultural expression

Are you sure you didn't switch the scores while rolling the dice? 38-9 NC State is looking somewhat plausible right now

My understanding was that part of the reason MLS has the schedule it does is because it minimizes competition with other leagues. For most of its regular season its only competition is regular season MLB plus NBA & NHL playoffs, but maybe that isn't worth the Cup opposing the NFL/CFB regular seasons

I live in Michigan and I can tell you first hand that that winter doesn't really end until April most years. I've attempted to go to Tigers Baseball games that were postponed for cold in April before.

I'm not a soccer fan so maybe I'm wrong about this, but this seems like a bad idea. This pits MLS against every other major sport (NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAAF and NCAAB), but the weather is going to suck for northern teams for a good portion of this schedule, which likely hurts attendance.
