I know the end, but the way there is difficult. My problem is pacing those clues. Now, I'm trying to write each character/suspect evolution through the story and then, once I have all of them, throw them together and weave in between. But I'm pretty sure it is not working. Hence the back and forth.

Not really. I'm writing a murder mystery and I'm struggling in mixing the stories of the different suspects or the clues. I've been iterating for a week. 😒

A thousand words are very good rate. I think I had a record of 2500 new words or something, but then took me several days to even write a single one. Better steady.
