When a chatbot gets something wrong, it’s not because it made an error. It’s because on that roll of the dice, it happened to string together a group of words that, when read by a human, represents something false. But it was working entirely as designed. It was supposed to make a sentence & it did.

When I was in my 20s, I also thought it extremely unlikely there'd still be a UK state pension when I retired. Now I'm in my 50s & it seems likely there will be. One reason is that higher proportions of older people vote (though of course that stat may change), so any gov likes to keep oldies happy

There are several clog dance traditions here in England. I'm not aware of it in Scotland or Wales, but I don't know enough to say it doesn't happen there.

English is not an official language in the UK either.

Here in the UK, I have seen no commentary on Zelenskyy's clothing. Everything is disgust and outrage about how Trump and Vance spoke to him.

I'm mostly a lurker but I want to let you know that this series is great.

How exciting! We're just getting quotes and hoping to have PV panels installed in the summer.

This has made me think. I need to do work in this area. Thank you.

Me too. So dull. Nowadays I understand why I'm bored by so many of the classics.

Completely understandable. I think the availability restrictions are part of the systemic issues.
I'm quite dogged about going, but I have fewer barriers.

But I understand that it's especially frustrating for you when you've had to put so much in place to get there.

The short-notice cancellations are really frustrating. I talked to one of the nurses about it. Sadly, like most of the NHS, the blood service is stretched to breaking point. A van breaks down, a staff member goes home sick ... they have to cancel appts because there are no spare resources to fill in

Here in London, UK, I've started politely asking people to use headphones. So far I've got away with it ... (I'm a white, grey-haired female)
