Burning coal is a large source of dirty air and climate change. Now Donald Trump is trying to subsidize coal with taxpayer dollars and destroy renewable energy production for electricity, even though it is cheaper (already) to utilize than coal. Why? For his donors?

Trump’s tariffs are already raising prices and hence inflation in the longer term. The Republicans last enacted damaging tariffs (Smoot-Hawley) during the 1930s that contributed to the Depression.
