Not a single child was dribbling a ball, hanging off the monkey bars, or riding a scooter around this playground on Saturday. Why? Because it was barred and locked. It appears San Francisco quietly jettisoned its Shared Schoolyard Project as of July 1. Please let @sfgov.sf.gov know you care. 1/2

My 10-yr-old noticed that the pull-out cards in Sports Illustrated Kids include weights for male athletes but not female ones. She said, “It’s not fair.” Me: “Tell me more.” Her: “If you don’t want to be mean by asking someone their weight then just don’t ask anyone.” @sportsillustrated.bsky.social

Witnessing Amy Sherald’s work at SFMOMA was a true blessing, and I choose those words with the utmost care. See the exhibition at the Whitney in NYC. Google it. FaceTime me, and I’ll flip through the coffee-table book. Just do whatever you can to experience it. “American Sublime” indeed.
