I had the honor of attending a presentation by Masaru Aoki, a doll conservator restoring the 1927 Japanese Friendship Dolls. It was a rare chance to see one of these 46 remaining ambassador dolls up close. Her details are stunning! I even got a special look inside her sleeve.

Why does it take me so long to put out videos? Because I spend WAY too much time doing silly edits for 2 second gags, like Tokugawa's eyebrows.

Been having some fun editing with the next video. Starting next month I'll be going to two videos a month!

My latest video is about the Battle of Tsushima, but all I could think about the entire time is how I wanted to play battleship.

Doing some final polishing on this month's video. Considering dropping shorts altogether, just not seeing the traction I want with them. (they do way better on TikTok) but this would meana transition to 2 full videos a month instead of 1.

A little #throwbackthursday to 2014 when I had the opportunity to visit Ryōgoku Kokugikan for a sumo tournament . I appreciate (and understand it) a lot more now than I did then.

Something I find interesting is that there is a random Torii gate in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Gov Osborn gifted it to the city in 1905. It used to serve as the main entrance of Government Park, which sits right next to the Soo Locks. #ToriiTuesday

Japan's prefectures have some beautiful and simplistic flags. Take Hokkaido's for example.
The blue represents the sea and sky of Hokkaido, red stands for the energy of the people, and white represents light and snow. The star stands for hope and development.
