Maybe the program success tinted things, but I don't remember him making these baffling personal decisions when we were a periannal NCAAs team. OT, Lineups, Special teams, every aspect of the team seems to not have conference with the other parts.

I'd rather see it be the red line. Just eliminating the defensive zone doesn't feel like it will do enough to deter the long resets.

I'm not sure about hockey but some sports you can play in a certain number of games and still be eligible for a redshirt.
