At the language level, there's good primitives (e.g. OTP) with intuitive runtime behaviour/semantics for doing async things.

#Erlang / #Elixir, in my opinion/experience. Good set of libraries and runtime support. E.g. for async, robust, multi-stage workflows with branching/retries, all backed by Postgres, Oban has been great.
