Took me a while to get it (and I keep forgetting to do it).

I read what I needed to read.

I saw some of his original lecture posters being conserved at OUM. I felt very privileged.

He gave us a lead on a former colleague, same circumstances. We eventually got him in. Interview + trial day. All good. That was weeks ago. He hasn’t heard back from us. I can’t book time off. And I still have to hear about how people these days “don’t want to work”. Fucking sick of it. Rant over.

However, management ensured us she wasn’t right and they wouldn’t be hiring her. They then rec’d a lead on a recently-unemployed man with years of experience. Eventually got him in for interview, waited a week, decided to get him in a week after that, by which time he’d found another job.

Just after he dropped his hours, beginning start Nov, a young woman enquired about work. We interviewed her, once by management, once by department. She lacked experience but was proactive, doing a lot of personal work relevant to a potential position. My dept was keen to bring her in board.
