Can someone tell me if there is a way to turn off Google's AI overview permanently? Bc it seems like there is no accessible way to do so... effectively shoving its AI down our throats, foreclosing websites, search results, and even other gen AI platforms.

So, Google is a monopolist, and unlawfully tied two distinct products in the Ad space following similar reasoning to that of the EU in Google Search (Shopping). Okay? About damn time - now, is this not what Apple and Microsoft are doing with their entire closed ecosystems?
