Remember the Vegas stripper with 8 mortgages before the GFC in 2008?

This is a lot more tasteful but essentially the same thing.

New yorkers could defund the Federal Government in exchange. That's over 7% of the Federal budget.

I'm so lucky I got all my goodies last week, albeit a package from Germany is in transit but inside the US already.

The easiest way is to convince that by properly defeating Putin, he will be known as the president that finally won the Cold War for good.
Whether it's true or not is secondary. The point is that he'd believe it.

When cell phones were cheaper you could hurl the against the wall.

You mean the mouthpiece for Trump that is married to the comms person for Musk?

My money is on the wife here. She's gonna tell him to stay quiet.

Why would you pin that pain on the receiving country? That's cruel and unusual punishment for a crime they didn't commit! Keep her in Georgia, they chose her they suffer her.

The good news is she'd be out of both the Senate and the House.
Call it a win.

The value of a currency is the credit of the issuer.
They are destroying that credit.

Can I suggest something?
Write an edition with actual news that sound made up. Like, warrior-man installs make-up station in Pentagon's bathroom, or national security advisor invites journalist to war planning chat-group.
I guarantee you it'd look like sarky but it's all be real.

The flaw in their thinking is that Europe is not going to play ball. And it is Europe that used to trade with Russia, not the US.
The US is yanking itself off of NATO, imposing tariffs on the EU but not Russia, and deporting European tourists.
So Europe is going to tell Trump "tuff luck, go away."

Schakowski v Abughazaleh would've been a great test for spell-checkers everywhere.
13 consonants v 8 vowels.

It'll be a challenge with their deflation problem.
Either they keep more goods at home - begets more deflation - or reduce output which leads to unemployment and possible bankruptcies. Maybe they can strengthen their currency a bit to prop up local consumption, but not sure it works.
April 22, 2025 at 12:47 AM
Yeah, that explanation is worse than a simple "my money my business." Why would she need cash when a debit card would do?

Didn't he just fire 4 of his closest friends from the Pentagon?
April 21, 2025 at 9:30 AM
Hell no.
I grew up in Chile 70s, 80s, and 90s. Very politically active social circle - weirdly enough both sides.
So no. Trump may be directionally going there, Bukele may be a bit ahead, but do not think for a minute we are close to "pinocheting."
There is a lot of room downwards to go.
April 20, 2025 at 3:25 AM
Yeah no.
I grew up in Chile during Pinochet.
Directionals Trump is going there, and bukele is closer. But people, please understand it is long way down until you get to "pinocheting."
