Hearing RFK, jr. and Trump talk about the numbers of people with autism is genuinely sickening. Well, everything they do is, but having just heard it I feel sick. Saying they know the “cause of autism” and will announce it next month is pissing me off.

I’ve come to realize why it’s hard to accept the surrealism of what’s happening these days: it’s because Trump doesn’t feel like an actual, real human being. He feels like something that crawled out of a zany satire about American politics. I don’t know if it’s a good or bad one, just a zany satire.

Having someone threaten to beat you up because you rested your arm on the seat in front of you a bus, one which wasn’t occupied when you did so, then call you ableist slurs, double down on that behavior when you call them out, and still keep threatening to beat you because you’re inconsiderate sucks

Very true. A fascinating figure, as most historical figures are, but a hypocritical one.

There’s a certain conundrum to seeing a kid with any kind of Harry Potter merchandise, and I mean any young child, especially if they’re interested in buying it. You don’t want them to inadvertently support Rowling, but you also know stepping in might just make you the asshole.

I know we’re all angry at the disillusioned Trump supporters shocked by how idiotic he’s being, but we shouldn’t push them away. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, we need them on our side to win this. Turn the other cheek, people, the more support we have, the less Trump does.
