Happy birthday to my first book, Judas Goat 🎀

She pairs well with Kristeva’s Powers of Horror, the oeuvre of Brigit Pegeen Kelly, growing up religious, death thoughts, tenderness despite, the long horizontal pupils of prey animals, and holding on close to your dog.

Finally picked up the new Jenny George book After Image & it’s just so beautiful—short poems that render both abundance and its loss, making complex arguments about form and death and harm and so much else with astounding brevity
