I made the "Hebrew school project" one when I was two. The real miracle of channukkah is that it still exists, 32 years later

The piece Sandy isn't sharing is that this trip would involve visiting his brother... who is planning to stay in CDMX for a few months... starting in a couple weeks... and has yet to find accommodations. Very different brothers.

I don't see any(?) Jews on this list...or other non-Christians, either. By all means, make a "climate and Christianity" list, but call it that.

If anyone makes a list of adaptation/resilience/hazard mitigation practitioners (scientists, engineers, planners, municipal officials, state & fed agency folks, scicomms folks, others?), I'd love to see it and be on it. I work for a consultancy with govt clients on climate adaptation

This is also where distrust in govt/institutions is a climate issue. If we don't think we can collectively solve problems and build new futures... we don't

Another piece re failures of imagination: I'm convinced most Americans? people? think the built environment just exists, not that it is a series of policy choices that can be made and unmade and remade

I think a lot of it is a failure of imagination, esp re the value of independence vs interdependence. People don't have good models. Also, there's a real tension in climate comms/advocacy about how to talk about personal vs institutional/societal responsibility
