Any car with any digital tech has some kind of OS, UI or not. A car can have digital features, preferably if they're just optional or helpful. Some things just can't be analogous (features).
As for maps, yeah, new roads are constantly made and you do end up using them. So yeah, GPS is nice. Oh well!

Generally I think they're just extra features, while anything vital is always physical.
AC is not vital, and that's digitally controllable.
Software updates, maybe. But firmware updates, absolutely.
Take for instance maps. Contruction makes new roads, etc.
