Yes, the news is true. I had the taco bell pie. It was a delicious key lime pie that had a nice hint of Baja Blast flavor to give it an interesting twist. Otherwise it's just a solid key lime pie, would probably have it again. Decent time for $20.

Oct 31st: Maniac Cop
Dir: William Lustig

This movie is so cool in brief moments but unfortunately I think it doesn't lean into the camp of its premise nearly enough for my tastes. Awesome theme, cool maniac design, just not enough sauce to sustain it overall.

Product pictures on Amazon are always my favorite thing

Oct 29th: 13 Ghosts
Dir. William Castle

My favorite haunted house movie about a group of poor schumucks trying to find cash their uncle stuffed inside of a haunted house, all while being sort of minorly annoyed by ghosts along the way. It's a fun time, good classic spooks!

Oct 28th: Sleepaway Camp
Dir: Robert Hiltzik

I forgot I had seen this before until the moment a horrible rapist got shoved into a boiling hot pot of water. Anyway it rocks, it's like if Friday the 13th was good and didn't spend half its runtime following around a bunch of twerps you can't remember.

Oct 27th: The Black Phone
Dir. Scott Derrickson

I watched this film because it stars a character called "The Grabber" and he has a design with a cool mask. Little did I know it would "grab" me by the heart and be a very enjoyable ghost esper escape room movie. What a treat!

Oct 26th: Frankenstein
Dir: Guillermo del Toro

Amazing sets and a great retelling of a very classic tale, Oscar Issac is a great Victor with an incredible design. I love this red gloves and how his design shifts into something monstrous throughout it. Defs worth the watch!

Oct 24th: Weapons
Dir: Zach Cregger

This movie is so incredible geared to me and my comedy sense that I was on the edge of my seat and audibly losing my shit like every 10 minutes. Incredible time, great sense of humor, entirely my shit! A fun little cartoon horror picture.

Oct 22nd: Evi- wait no Drag Me to Hell
Dir: Sam Raimi

This movie cooks so incredibly hard and I miss when Sam Raimi could get the funding to make a movie where he knocks his lead character around and does a bunch of slapstick comedy bits. Longer review in comments.

Oct 21st: Fright Night
Dir: Tom Holland

I love this movie so much. One of the all timer vampire movies to ever release, a modern (well 1985) classic that holds up incredibly well. great sets, great props and puppets, great style.
October 22, 2025 at 5:03 PM
Oct 19th: Bats: Human Harvest
Dir: Jaime Dixon

This is so close to being the coolest resident evil film ever made if they just committed to having the bad guy turn into a giant bat in the end. One of the better uses of $2 at a thrift shop was getting this bad boy.
October 19, 2025 at 10:12 PM
Oct 17th: Bring Her Back
Dir. Philippou Bros

I likes this SO much more than Talk To Me, it does so many fun things with its core concept and runs with it so much better. The gradual spiral of this film feels devastating to watch, just an awful time that barely ends up pulling away at the last sec.
October 19, 2025 at 10:06 PM
Oct 7th: Possession
Dir: Andrzej Żuławski

I didn't really know much going into this film but it's now one of my favorites. Possession is a creeping horror film about an end of things, the end of a relation, the end of the division between Berlin, and what feels like the end of the world itself.
October 8, 2025 at 6:27 AM
Oct 6th: Evil Dead 2
Dir: Sam Raimi

This might be the best movie every made. Incredible pace, amazing slapstick bits, Sam Raimi at his absolute best. Some of the most creative camera work and sets and lighting and stunts and props of all time, just unfathomable sauce. Everything is perfect.
October 7, 2025 at 5:37 AM
Oct 4: Saw
Dir. James Wan

I love Saw, it's the only one of these movies that feels like a real film. For a smaller budget film that gradually got funding it turned out so well. It's such a simple but nice little story that just works, doesn't even have excessive gore and is more mystery. Peam.
October 5, 2025 at 7:24 PM
Oct 3: Talk to Me
Dir. Philippou Brothers

Talk to Me is a slow burn ghost story that doubles as a metaphor for addiction and is all a very neat and tidy little package. It's not doing anything sensational, but it is overall pretty solid. There's a crazy frog ringtone in it though, and toe sucking!
October 3, 2025 at 6:50 PM
Oct 2: Frankenhooker
Dir. Frank Henenlotter

Frankenhooker is one of the funniest and campiest films I've ever seen, it's a real delight for the ages. Blood, boobs, and just oodles of incredible comedy bits all wrapped up in a retelling of Frankenstein. Frank buddy, this might be peak.
October 2, 2025 at 8:16 PM
Oct 1: Phantasm
Dir. Don Coscarelli

God this movie rocks, it's genuinely so awesome that one of the all time best movies ever was made without permits and only filming on the weekend over like a year. It's so well put together. One of the all timers.

Nothing beats a midday hotdog to regain some strength and sanity. Remember to enjoy moments like this while you can. Peace and tranquility are rare in this world. Much better than any burger I've ever had. There's nothing like a dog with some mustard and kraut #dogwatch

Happy Sunday fun day! Today I had what the polish people call a Polish "hot dog" from a favorite local establishment called "Big Al's"which primarily makes ham burgers. It was pretty good, lots of relish, great wiener. Had a good flavor but nothing beats a classic hot dog in my opinion. #dogwatch
