making strong moves difficult to get is a great design choice that GameFreak abandoned for no reason

listening to audiobooks is not truly reading, the ability to actually process the text you see is an important skill that you dont get from audiobooks

it's interesting how Chikorita learns its first STAB move significantly earlier than Totodile and Cyndaquil learn theirs and learns a significantly stronger one (Razor Leaf) than those two
It's almost as if GameFreak knew Chikorita was gonna suck ass in game and they gave it this to compensate

I feel like the reason that error specifically made it into the final game was because it wasn't noticed when playtesting since Moltres having Leer makes sense
If something like Primeape got Razor Leaf, it likely wouldve been noticed in playtesting since it makes no sense for Primeape to have it

was reminded of how Moltres supposedly learns Leer instead of Flamethrower in RBY because of a programing error and in hindsight it's kind of nuts that that's probably the only moveset blunder in RBY, like it's kind of a miracle we didn't wind up with shit like an accidental Razor Leaf Primeape
