It's been going on for a long time..we left Montreal in 1968 bc my parents, as immigrants had just learned English,and now would be forced to learn French for any job..the language thing seems to have gotten more amplified lately for sure. And yet everyone speaks French the times I've been back..

They don't. My tattoo artist daughter,covered in beautiful artwork,and an LGBTQ2+ ally,used to go regularly for conventions/workshops in the US for tattoo artists; she has said loudly and clearly that her and her partner (also renowned tattoo artist) will never go there again.
