A message to all. The Trump admin is going to probably use any rioting in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s death as a pretext to declaring martial law. The polo shirted khaki crowd are already out marching about “taking back their land” and “fighting back.” Be careful out there.

It’s really sad what’s happened in Texas over the weekend. The unexpected storm and flooding couldn’t have happened at a worse time. Unfortunately the current federal administration’s policies will likely result in more tragedy in the future. #Texas #climatechange

I live in Altadena. Recovery after the fires in January depended on our Hispanic community of volunteers. Current cleanup and reconstruction will practically stop without these skilled but undocumented workers.

I also have lived in LA for more than 40 years and worked in downtown LA for 30. What’s happening now is not widespread or particularly violent. MAGA is gaslighting the rest of the country as a pretext for overreach.
As someone who lives in Los Angeles, don’t let social or mainstream media gaslight you into thinking there’s a violent uprising taking place here. The Trump administration is trying to punish this state and this city. He’s also setting a precedent to unleash troops on Democratic cities.
