As the owner of a 2016 Corolla who is likely to make some ~decisions~ soon, this is basically where I'm at

As someone with a BSW, the idea that my prof would be expected to be knowledgable in both Family Systems Theory and field medicine is absolutely insane

these past couple of weeks have felt almost as disorienting as the period of (prolonged) drought that preceded it... will happily take cold/damp now to mitigate hot/dry in ~6 months

Reading this story in light of the impending 'bomb' cyclone approaching our region - my (decidedly amateur) meteorological eye thinks they might be in for a rough couple of days, but hope I'm wrong

one of my friends is 114000th (??) in line so this seems great tbh

A hard truth to accept... I'm just hoping we don't have a repeat of last winter again this year. It's abundantly clear that we're going to need all the precip we can get going into our summers from here on out. I really don't want the first 2 lines of the Ode to feel like a threat...

It kinda feels like the notion of 'Fogust' or 'Juneuary' may be relegated to the same place talks of only getting 'tail-ends' of hurricanes went; something of the before times that clearly does not apply anymore.

I still haven't wrapped my head around the fact that the Avalon is experiencing *drought conditions*. My internal climate model has been pushed well beyond its limits this summer... I would welcome the damp and grey with open arms at this point.

Can't tell you how many total minutes; but long enough to reflect on how well the composition itself seems to match the feelings of hope or dread from the impeding 'news' to follow

Appreciate the background info! I suppose I should be grateful it's working in general these days... lol hoping they can figure out those issues too

I feel like I've seen this question before (but don't remember the answer...) - what's up with the 'ripples' coming off the Holyrood radar? I feel like it's something, something temperature inversion, refracted light, maybe? Lol

Any idea if the one near Metro might lift a bit further north into St. John's proper? Just trying to mentally prepare myself lol

This is more interesting than the Lizz Truss lettuce imo

I'm always struck in these types of weather events how well named some places on the west/southwest coast are; Wreckhouse, Blow Me Down... almost comically on point lol

Dude it has been abysmal here. Just completely despondent vibes. However you've felt since November 5th, just imagine adding literal unending darkness and rain to that

While I know this will have literally no impact on Bluesky growth/usage, seeing the term 'skeets' used outside of the NL context will take some getting used to...

I see your Gord Downie reference and tip my (damp and cold) hat to you
