Thank you Jon I have been saying this for years

Definitely a back-breaking mistake against NYI, but otherwise he's been flying. Really don't like how he seems to have no room to make any errors while others get endless chances. Lots of people making the Brannstrom comparison but he's been far more positively noticeable than Branny ever was.

I missed these so much over the summer

At the minimum you can be sure that I give you full credit when annoying my friends and family about the insanity of the AI bubble 🫡

Low blocker a la Kane 2010 cup winner. Not a good goal for Hensley to give up, but I’m happy for Ottawa.

Kingston's Shawarma Dubai is legit. One of the only places to hold up to the Ottawa standard.

If you don’t think much of Sanderson you need to watch him play more. Has legit top-5 in the world potential. End of the day I just don’t agree with them capping out as a bubble team. Too many good pieces, and more depth than the Habs on D.

You seriously think 22 y/o Jake Sanderson is past his peak? Or 25 y/o Tkachuk? Or even Grieg? The Habs will be good too but let’s be serious here, the Sens are still on an upward trajectory.

I believe this is answered in the “We were born in a flame” Act, section “the Canadian Dream”

There’s very little benefit to using most PEDs for hockey. He probably really did take something to help with recovering from an injury and didn’t check it close enough.

Either that or Hamonic is such a good guy that the other players will be sad if he doesn’t play. Nothing else makes sense
March 8, 2025 at 6:24 PM
I legitimately don’t understand why Matinpalo isn’t in. Hamonic works hard but he is consistently a possession-killer on offense and often an anchor on D.

Only $4.00 more and you can get a wrap from Shawarma Palace!

@jeffvandermeer.bsky.social I missed this chapter in Absolution

Why post the graphic in Pacific time admin?

I don’t understand how that’s not a goal. The player that pushed Saros into the net was Nashville’s D-man, and Batherson was out of the crease when the puck went in.

For sure! Hockey truly is a sport of chaos, it’s a miracle that you’ve been able to tease as many good insights out of it as you have been. Keep up the fantastic work, your move to this site was one of the main reasons I switched over (besides escaping the Nazis and bots).

Makes sense, I wasn’t aware it was closed. If I had to guess, might be a higher emphasis on cross-ice passes, given his concept of the “royal road”.

The CAR/BOS game is an interesting example of how widely xG models can differ. Steve Valiquette posted ClearSight’s recap of the game, and he had Carolina at 4.15 xG, but here it looks like only around 2. Do you know where the difference might lie?

Looking at Ottawa and Boston... maybe Ullmark and Swayman actually needed each other after all?
