Didn’t share this one earlier because I was always too lazy to pad the 2:1 portrait crop so that it displayed correctly on social media. Also the first such aspect ratio that I have shared. Bandera Mountain, 2023.

A ghost tree in fog and high tide at Nisqually Wildlife Refuge. This isn’t a black and white image, and I didn’t edit the colors at all — with the fog, it was literally this monochromatic out.

I took and shared this in 2019 in black and white. It’s nice in B&W, but I don’t know why I didn’t notice that the colors are gorgeous. Foster Island.

I expect every landscape photographer has dozens of compositions where they are just waiting to be there when the conditions are right. I finally got those conditions for this view of Alki Point Lighthouse from Discovery Park. I’m guessing this was about my tenth visit.

Stopped by the viewpoint just south of UBC in Vancouver. No wind, and those almost-sunset-colors-at-midday-in-winter were showing through. Made for a very pretty panorama.
