Imagine if they succeed,it’ll be such a huge win against not only violence but a state / govt/ military that couldn’t protect them for decades. A state that only increased violence with its failed violent policies in the name of security. Wishing Pashtun national jirga a success in #PeaceForKurram
Jirga received a grand welcome at #Kurram &will start reconciliation between both parties in conflict from today. Hats off to all Pashtuns who are resisting violence without resorting to it. May they succeed in bringing an end to violence in Pashtunkhwa once&for all. Via @bilalyasirbjr.bsky.social

The people sending me texts from the 1800s, claiming Pashtuns have always been engaged in beheadings and wars, should also reflect on the histories of other ethnicities during that time. All societies had periods of violence, but most were given the opportunity to evolve.
