I can describe how delicious this was. It was a special order at the tapas restaurant for someone’s birthday. Perfectly done ribeye with an anchovy and black garlic butter. It was to die foe.

More baking trying to use up all the fruit coming in. Made a chocolate blackberry crisp for immediate consumption and plum muffins for the freezer. My freezer is slowly being stocked with goodies for the fall.

Delicious. When I saw those orcas yesterday, I was gathering sea lettuce. I made a sweet and spicy sesame dressing to go on it. Accompanied by my panko crusted oysters picked from the beach at lunch, kimchi and rice.

One of the best parts of living on Gabriola- pop down to the beach after work and pluck a few oysters off the beach to have with dinner. Now… just for that crossbow to get my main course…

Me and June found an antler while out for a walk the other day. I left it in the pen with her when I dropped her off and I asked Jesse if he saw it- he said June likes to bury them for safe keeping, then dig them up when she feels like it. So we’ll see it again in a few months!
