One of the handful of comics that survived my grandmother’s purge of my father’s collection when he joined the army. It’s not in the greatest shape, but I still have it (and those issues mean the world to me).

Trying to find the first issue at Amazon (ie the former Comixology), but not having much luck. They seem to be listing the collection, but not the separate issues. Is it me or is it them?

When HVC describes it, he usually says it’s a correction that Shooter wanted and he had it made directly on the original art instead of using an overlay.

This is the cover that caused a shouting match between Jim Shooter and Howard Chaykin, which led to Chaykin stepping away from mainstream comics for a bit, which then led to American Flagg!
