Been a bit since I last made any posts on social media, but this is a little video I’ve been wanting to make for a while. As a scientist I feel it’s important to spread the knowledge that I have with the average person. I hope y’all get something out of this little ramble 🙂

Gained a new skill at lab today: light microscopy single cell isolation. The technique involves using a glass needle operated by a joystick under a microscope to pick up and move single cells on an agar plate. It’s pretty cool, but very delicate and a little tedious. #microbiology #yeast #research

It’s not much… yet. But it will be in the near future. I don’t have a great place to record, so I’ve decided to build one, small as it might end up being, but this pallet wood was free and I have a hammer, screws, and some time on my hands. #boothbeginnings

The #arcane box set of season 1 is so beautiful. The art is amazing and the dice are gorgeous. A little tradition I have is to make note of the first rolls of any dice I get to see which ones could betray me. As you’ll see below, things look pretty good for these ones!

A while back I saw @tastinghistory.bsky.social make stuffed dates, so I finally took a swing at it for the neighborhood holiday party today. I think they turned out quite nice!
