Sadly I think they’ll try other tax raising ideas that are awful and unfair and won’t raise anything like enough. To abandon a foolish manifesto pledge and raise income tax they’ll think is electoral suicide.

I think it’s right to say only raising income tax would stand any chance of breaking the fiscal deadlock we’re in. Sadly I don’t believe this government will do it. 😟

Yes the Leathersellers Livery Hall is indeed subterranean but maybe the Clothworkers Livery Hall will not be. Maybe they wanted to get away from the Soviet station feel 😂

I don’t know it was flattened and very little kept of it to reuse. The new Hall is to be partly subterranean I gather (perhaps like the Leathersellers?). Most of the site to be an office block, perhaps for income?

I certainly do think taverns and their landlords or landladies were get sources of information. Maybe word could be left there and enquirers could be directed to the advertiser?

Well yes taxes need to rise to afford things as borrowing is out of the question and cuts are unacceptable for the Labour MPs. After all what are manifesto pledges but hostages to fortune!
