Case Histories and Dalgliesh are two great British murder mystery shows if you’re looking for that sort of a thing this weekend.

My bff and I got the top finished. This is Kaffe Fassett Hot Economy quilt kit. I think this will be a nice Christmas present. Might take out the two border seams we had to piece together & replace with one border piece.

Got this as a pre-cut quilt kit. It goes together really nicely.

Got the center piece done. Now just have to add the borders. This is Kaffe Fassett Hot Economy quilt fabric and pattern. I’m going to make 3 of these for Christmas presents. Next one I’ll make sure my colors are better placed..

Finally started working on my quilt and my mother and bff are now both riding me about getting my eyes checked. Gonna try to get most of this cut out tonight.

We had a great time, Betty! There were about 50 women there. Everyone had a great time. They had Kentucky Benedictine tea sandwiches and butternut squash soup, scones, etc. We decorated a pumpkin but mine fell apart. Here’s my daughter’s. She had a blast!

Castle’s incision site healing pretty well. He has a retained suture and I will try to get that out tomorrow. Eye still weepy and still some periorbital swelling. Will email his Dr. tomorrow.

Went shop hopping with my bff today. Lots of beautiful fabric and quilts everywhere. People out enjoying the day window shopping. One lady owned the store 38 yrs & her 87 yr old mom was on the porch checking people in!

Saw this antique rustic decoration today and got to learn a little bit about black smithing. Mostly that black smithing is wicked hot (in not a good way) and critical to infrastructure/development

Horses are doing well. Moved Sophie back to our regular barn. Here she is with Dolf on separate sides of the fence getting to know one another. Nick and Castle doing great. Castle has gained back all his weight and then some.

My bff is making this machine embroidered quilt. I love how dainty it is.

First foot in the water obstacle.

Working on making my second Kaffe Fassett Seed Packet quilt today. I gave up on the batik one for now. Got my machine set up with my guiding tape ledge and I don’t need to see the presser foot anymore to sew my 1/4”. The first one I did about 2 yrs ago and the second one is what I’m working on now.

Learning to use the tape ledge method of feeding the fabric by feel instead of vision. Works pretty well. Still just a little shy of 1/4” - pretty darn close. Might make my tape ledge thicker..

Very poor tomato output so far. Gorgeous plants, output underwhelming. I think too much rain early, too hot for too long, and decline in bees.

(almost) Full moon tonight thru the trees

A few of the stumps with deer fence now required around the individual plants. Very few tomatoes or beans this year..

Muck Boots really need to bring the BritColt boot back. I don’t know what they were thinking when they got rid of that. The ankle flexion is important. I’ve already written them multiple letters about this..
