I work and volunteer with my local community garden. I am helping develop a Pollinator Stewardship program. I teach free classes for the public in sustainable honey bee care and native pollinators.

I fell back in love with biodiversity as an adult and chose to grow native🌱.

I strongly believe in helping build green corridors, reconnecting wild spaces, and overall re-wilding the planet. Protecting biodiversity and human rights for all.

I’m now formally trained in horticulture and landscape management for the western Washington (USA) region. While in school I fell not just for the plants, but their partners (fungi, invertebrates, avians, etc) and basically stumbled into ecology.

I was born and live in the Coast Salish Lowland Forest (also known as Puget Sound or more broadly the Pacific Northwest).

I grew up playing outdoors, I’ve always loved seeing and learning about the natural world around us.

Hi!

I’m Gabby, I like to share photos of neat stuff I find in nature, my horticultural work with native plants, and share practices on how to keep healthier and more sustainable honey bees in the Pacific Northwest.
