Which is why, Trump aside, nothing ever seems to change. So you have to recognize that. If that’s what you wanted, under this system, you aren’t ever going to get it. A decision has been made and you weren’t invited.

A line has been drawn with the American form of capitalism on one side of it and not only is socialism fully off-limits, you aren’t even allowed a less restrictive form of capitalism than more or less give or take exactly what you’ve had for the last four presidents

You have to understand that if you have the basic belief that we were taught, that “if enough people want it it will happen” regarding any political issue then you are simply wrong. That is a lie. There are decisions that you are not a part of and never will be under these people.

I have to believe they don’t realize the extent of their actual powerlessness because if they did and they continued to act like it was okay, continued to act like it’s acceptable as soon as you get Trump out, then the nation is beyond saving and already lost. And I don’t believe that.

You aren’t going to be getting it. And that’s just one notable example. There is a list of very important and basic things for the quality and equality of life of citizens that you are not allowed to have because they are off-limits. End of story. And thats something I don’t think many truly realize

Unless either of these two parties were to RADICALLY change their entire ethos, funding, organizational set-up, and 90% of their current elected officials there is no vote where you will ever see that under this system. So there you go, there’s your democracy in action

If you want a concrete example from the US, there are many, many people who want a free at the point of use universal healthcare like so many other countries. Many people want that. It will NEVER happen under either of these 2 parties. I hope you understand that. There’s no election result for that

And obviously it’s a simplified distinction between physical and psychological on both sides because of things like endorphins etc, I just think it’s an interesting analogy in the movie of becoming addicted to a sort idealistic mirror of your mind, which seems a closer comparison to an AI addiction
