Always wanted to build a TeensyMaestro for my #flexradio. The new board by Simon, N0VE (with firmware updates by Len KD0RC) made it much easier.

I designed a case for it which supports a VESA compatible mount.

I’ve added a limited run of the kit to my shop (shop.g7ufo.radio/collections/...).

Thanks to Walt, K6OGO over at Costal Waves and Wires for the kind words about my Turret Mic which he used when reviewing the QMX+

My gratitude to Mike Lauth (LX1ML) for sharing the following sad news: Hello Tom, Just want to give you the information that DL6YYM, Markus Baseler is Silent Key. He is the maker of the famous high-quality BaMaTech TP II and TP III CW keys used by numerous CW operators worldwide. He was also an active QRP/POTA  operator. On his QRZ.com page he announced for August a QRP activity from Greenland.

If, like me you’ve followed the development of the Teensy Maestro for #flexradio by Len (KD0RC) and Simon (NV0E) then you may have seen they’ve released a new PCB and BOM.

I’m hoping to be able to put a kit together for this and have an expression of interest form shop.g7ufo.radio/pages/expres...

Unfortunately the RTLSDR part of the #hackergadgets board for my #clockworkpi #uconsole was faulty.

A quick email to Vileer and a replacement arrived in a few weeks. I’ve just fitted it today and it works. 🙌

In #3d printing world I’ve been experimenting with some clear PETG. Might print some of my Turret and K6ARK cases with it.

Oh, maybe even a TP-III #cw paddle case case…

My #clockworkpi #uconsole arrived this week (just after my #hackergadgets SDR extension board).

I fitted a #raspberrypi CM5 in it and compiled PiHPSDR to connect to my Pluto+ which I use for #qo100.

This thing is 🔥

Based on the hard work of Adam, K6ARK I designed a PCB which does all the work of the connections and designed a case for it.

I think it looks like a Turret from the game Portal, hence its name.

For the last few months I’ve been offering the K6ARK super-compact microphone as a kit over in my shop: shop.g7ufo.radio/products/kit...

My plan was also to provide assembled versions as well but I found the soldering too fiddly for any sort of speedy assembly.

After 32 years as a ham I finally completed my first #pota activation!

Thanks for everyone who hunted me at Kielder Water (GB-1285).

Gear was my trusty #elecraft #kx2 with wire antenna suspended on a SOTABeams tactical mast. Ran off battery and happily chucked out 10w.

Have been working hard on #3dprint designs for the new CTR2-Dial controller for #smartsdr #flexradio #thetis.

Delighted to be producing the full unit for the UK and EU markets. Check out my blog post for an overview.

A few weeks ago, Neil (G7UFO) reached out to let me know that he has started producing and selling 3D-printed magnetic cases for the BaMaKey TP-III. He generously sent me one to check out, and I have to say—it’s a great option if you’re looking for a simple way to protect your TP-III when tossing it into your field pack.
