On reflection might have been just one guy point at about 30ft but it was definitely oscillating like mad.

Happened to VJR and me in the Falklands when we were VP8DMN. It's the only time I've seen one snap even though it actually was guyed at 20ft and 40ft. Wind was a bit above 65mph and there was an oscillation mode with nodes at the guying points.

I think it's the way Ofcom write these calls in their documentation leaving a space or # for the RSL. I've seen this sort of thing a few times before. One for Ofcom not the RSGB.

Twiglets and Irn Bru have featured in the snacks department in the past and are probably still OK. Alcohol not allowed at the event I think so no showcasing of Talisker or Glenfiddich etc 😒

With about 11,000 registrations it feels like it may have been something to do with SWL reports to the BBC.

BBC archives website says "Unfortunately we are no longer able to answer any personal interest enquiries, supply copies of documents, or undertake any research on behalf of external users." 😒Maybe old copies of Wireless World would hold an answer.

Did a quick search for the word "research" in the RSGB archive index and nothing relevant to this popped up. There was an Amateur Radio Research Association in the 1920s but no connection with the BBC. Might be a question for the BBC archivist.
