That body shape…. I just can’t.
Ultimately, it’s “to each their own”. I’m not a big Fender guy myself. The Jackson I got in July was my first ever non percussion instrument.

That’s fair. I can respect that. I guarantee many don’t like the wood grain look and that’s one of the first type of bass that catches my eye for some reason.

I started playing drums when I was in 5th grade. I never truly learned how to read musical notation (beyond snare rhythms on a single line).
I’d always wanted to play an additional instrument but thought I couldn’t because I could never read music.
I started bass guitar this past July.
