And that's not even getting into the Metal Virus stuff. Eggman very nearly doomed the world by making an adaptive nanomachine virus that forcibly rewrites organic DNA into a metal facsimile of itself, and the bloke didn't bother to think of a proper failsafe. I don't blame Starline for bailing.

Like, the idea of Eggman somehow conquering nearly the whole planet within a month is insane, but the comics, especially in regards to characters like Whisper, actually take the time to explore how it would affect the Sonic world in general. Hell, Metal Sonic nearly brought the Empire back up!
