I see. For what it's worth, it doesn't bother me when I see you just draw Homura. It's pretty unfair that people are so biased against this one hyperfixation of yours.
Personally, I think the main use of sharing art (for myself, at least) is finding people who have the same niche likes as me.

Personally, i hate drawing braids, so I just don't get it myself lol. There might also just be bias in the fanart you see thanks to algorithms, most of the madohomu fanart I see is with Homura with her hair free.

Or the occasional rare bunch that think that the TV ending was bad, but also depicting Homura's state the way it was done was bad too.
Or one I have encountered who thinks Kyubey was mischaracterized in Rebellion and specifically doesn't like that Homura did nothing wrong.

If the artist is thinking about some story in mind, both "Cool" and "Devil" Homura are simply too closed off and prone to isolating herself to actually do anything romantic for a romantic fanart.

I think there's a tendency to think of Moemura as a good state to be in, and the following events of her life as some sort of mental descent, so drawing that Homura gives a feeling of innocence. But this is pretty contradicted by that Homura being absolutely suicidal and mentally disturbed

Both their images pf the other being specifically their first meeting, since Madoka doesn't normally wear her gold ribbons.

The labyrinth's Madoka has a pretty distorted perspective on Homura, but the reaction to Homura running off, and the specific line she used in that scene too (hurts me seeing you suffer, and not being able to do anything about it) doesn't seem like a "memory-less Madoka", for lack of better words.

The way I ended up seeing it, it was to parallel the same thing Homura does with Madoka's hair ribbons at the end. Basically, to show that Madoka is similar to Homura (and could probably do similar things lol).

One group of people genuinely believes she's evil and another thinks that the movie's message is to tell you that she's evil when she's not. I think both these problems start from the root of thinking that Madoka (the girl) is perfectly correct in every way.

eh, I think i'll disagree on the tragic ending bit. But that's just because I think it'll be unnecessary to just be tragic for the sake of it.
