yeah maybe its an every 30k panic LMAO the draft i'm on's about 75k into itself right now and im feeling it all over again!

my poor partner gets the brunt of it from me but i've manage to work my way outta holes brainstorming with them at least ;A;

how do people manage consistently writing 100k+ novels is beyond me i can just about manage 30k before my brain gets weepy and gooey about it

i've been picking at this thing for like a year or two now though and I think i've figured out where i want this to go so it might mean i have no choice but to kinda go back in, restructure & continue after siiigh

im a bit dreading the thort i might have to reread this draft & start my restructure.... before I finish the first draft because i keep hitting a wall where i cant remember where the fuck i was taking the characters in this

but it also goes against my #1 fundamental rule: DO NOT edit the 1st draft

its insane. we dont really talk about THIS part of industry practice bc a lot of it is bogged in more important shit (how much we get paid which is... Not Enough) but small things like this would uh go a LONG way in reducing friction & frustration btwn the pub & the artist
