I used to run a camera club - we'd have competitons and critique the submissions. Neuroscience aside- this picture would have rated highly. Lighting, exposure, use of texture, use of shapes, rule of thirds - it's all there. Also, your caligraphy is exquisite

I expect you get this a lot too. Eating a restaurant and about 15 minutes into your meal someone comes over and asks if everything is alright with your food. If it wasn't, you would have heard about it by now!

It's a nice thing and I wonder if it's a boat mooring ring. The peg would be set in cement or perhaps into a stone block with a molten lead plug. Whatever it is, there's a bit of history to it
