At these times of political violence, I want to show sympathy to Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark who were murdered in cold blood by a crazyman who got himself a police uniform and a police car to murder them at their home. Melissa was the speaker of the Minnesota House of Representatives.

So today is Shirley Chisholm’s 100th birthday!!!! She was an icon! My mentor was a volunteer for her, so I got to hear so many stories. We need to channel her energy today, because if we want change, we have to make it! That may make some uncomfortable, but oh well! The end result will be beautiful!
