The kicker is my work is now flying me to Stanford in April to attend a weekend course. I've never been to the Bay Area so I'm pretty excited! I'm also blown away because I was worried that I was shooting my career in the foot with all my vocal criticism. It turned out they were listening.

I'll never be an AI cheerleader, but I do see where the value is - it's a matter of being responsible and thinking through the ethics and ramifications before jumping in.

Not using AI is not an option. Not in the field we're in. But I appreciate that they understand the ethical implications and the task force is primarily made up of skeptics and critics like me. I think that's the right approach.

Theater was absolutely one of the best parts of high school for me (we did "The Mikado" too!) - my friends and I practically ran tech - some of them still work in theater lighting today! Seeing him getting involved in and loving something that made me so happy brings me so much joy!
