I just finished it some days ago and I really liked it, definitely worth the time!
I think threre are some possibilities to build your characters like classical rpgs with defense, shields and healing so hopefully you'll still be able to enjoy it if you prefer that

because clearly, there's nothing worse than low fps

Looking forward to this one, heard it pitched as Finch x Obra Dinn. That sounds like a steam cart item just waiting for final clearance
