Barbara Harris in practically anything.

Rosemary or Julie Harris as Mary Tyrone. JH did a reading, and they were both mentioned in connection with the Lemmon revival.

Think of the leading men she played opposite. Did any other actress of the studio or post studio eras act so well with such a wide array of costars: Woody and Al, of course, but then, Gere, Caine, Gould, Caan, Beatty, Jack (twice) Shepard, Finney, Gibson. Post heyday, a lot more. Marron!

I don’t know who SSG is, but it has to be epic to overshadow Rosie! Especially if it’s Phil or Bing, my first guesses.

Or two deceased actors in a pilot, similarity lacking in take off. Thank you Messrs Levinson and Link.

Two living hill actors (one peerless) in a pilot that failed to take off.

Saw the last two. A real gem of that ilk: Penny Fuller in Three Viewings.

Happy with ML Wilson. And KC breaking up Naughton. Good night, Roundabout. How often can you say that?
August 6, 2025 at 11:21 PM
And then Jane Connell came in to save the day?
August 6, 2025 at 10:49 PM
Not to mention the difference between the Jacobs and the Schoenfeld.

NYT was similarly lackadaisical about acknowledging Mark Brokaw’s death. And I don’t think it ever got around to addressing Priscilla Pointer’s life and death.

And it’s Jonathan’s birthday month, too. Somehow, somewhere, I hope there’s a place for a birthday party for this long-living trio.

How da heck did Lansbury, Julie Harris, Maureen Stapleton, Jessica Tandy, Eileen Heckart and Geraldine Page ( no Tony, but a valiant effort to get one) miss out on TGA? Oh. they died.

Hurry up. Rosemary Harris and Estelle Parsons wait in the wings.

I saw her. With George Hearn. They were swell. Arthur Bell said DL was better than Angela Lansbury. Bell Tells did not BS.

Is casting Curly a sin among the myriad?
May 24, 2025 at 12:00 AM
Can’t see it. Will never happen. How about PP and Sarah Paulson? Sexy and doable?
May 23, 2025 at 11:52 PM
Are we ever going to address anent, alee, adit (endorsed by Maureen Stapleton, if you please)?

I know approval would increase Genius level proportionately, but still.

It’s so unlikely, but…
April 23, 2025 at 11:41 PM
Why? An obvious, heart tugging stunt. And interminable to boot. But, on the plus side, with songs wrenched from the bowels of the last century, indifferently performed.
April 23, 2025 at 11:28 PM
He looks like Michael Cera.

Which, accordingly to the bee, is titularly 75 % unacceptable. But baby the rain must fall!
