So I checked the flow-meter, input wire-mesh filter and heater cartridge and found something:

After some experimentation I'm really glad the FET didn't die already o.O
I even managed to blow up the TVS.
So I characterized my salvaged transformer to do some proper RC-snubber and RCD-clamp values :3

To take a look inside and also improve performance again, I opened the hot-gas-bypass valve and defrosted this thing.

By installing a pc-fan I achieved freezing a solid block of ice, even partially translucend, and with a solid core!
