In 1920 the population of the US was 106 million. Today it is about 340 million. 1920 deaths as a percentage of population: 0.05%; 2024: 0.01%. 80% reduction. Can’t compare absolute numbers without considering the size of the pool those numbers are drawn from.

That’s bizarre. I assume other lenses are fine on those bodies? Your description almost sounds like there’s an eyesight correction lens on the viewfinders, but you’d notice that with every lens and there’s no reason why both bodies would have that same issue unless you got them from the same person.

I think the internal focusing motor is locked while the body is unpowered. If the screw connector is retracted or not present the design intent is that it will manually focus just like it was connected to a film body.

Body on the left doesn’t have the screw-type body autofocus motor that lens requires. Seen at lower left of the body on the rights’s lens ring. AF-D lenses require bodies with an internal focusing motor. Unless I’ve misunderstood you and you’re having problems while manually focusing.

The HxNx nomenclature refers to two proteins used to differentiate types of influenza A. There are 16 H types and 11 N types. H7N9 and H5N1 are two different types of influenza A. Influenza has a unique pattern of genetic instability that makes this the most suitable nomenclature for most uses.
