Remember that “probation” doesn’t mean that they did something wrong and got put on probation to make them shape up. Many federal jobs have an initial probationary period of up to a year (or more). And you go on it even if you’re just moving to a new position. This is just about wrecking the NIH.
5200 people at NIH fired this afternoon as they were on probation and hence easier to fire.
In its totality what's happening at HHS & NIH is a Musk/Trump effort to shutdown almost all cancer cure research in the US. No more new cures. Cancer's brand is really in the dumps.
